1. Does LodgeX undertake all the conveyancing work? 2019-10-03T13:45:28+10:00

LodgeX does not undertake your conveyancing work we simply process the tail end of the electronic settlement transaction.

2. At what point does LodgeX get involved? 2019-10-03T13:45:34+10:00

You can send us your instructions either:
(a) once your client has signed the Contract of Sale
(b) when you receive an invitation from the counter-party to settle in PEXA
(c) from the beginning; LodgeX can set up the workspace, invite the counter-party and/or mortgagee to join the workspace and work the transaction through to settlement
(d) alternatively, you can create the workspace and documents and simply invite LodgeX into the workspace to complete the financial settlement.

3. Can LodgeX help me while I’m on holidays? 2019-10-03T13:45:39+10:00

Absolutely. Not only will LodgeX ensure that your settlements stay on track we will also keep your clients in the loop on your behalf so that you can enjoy your cocktail or the beach with peace of mind.

4. We’re PEXA proficient but the other side isn’t ? 2019-10-03T13:45:43+10:00

That’s easy, if you want to increase your level of PEXA transactions, simply refer the other side to us.

Yes, LodgeX holds proper licensing and specific insurance that enables us to transact on your behalf. You can be confident that we tick all the boxes for ARNECC certification, SRO approval and the Registrar’s requirements.

Membership is free! but there are some formalities. It’s a good idea to get these formalities out of the way early so that when you need us it’s as simple as sending an email.

A recent survey highlighted some ill-founded reasons why the some non-members may not use an outsourced e-settlement agency. We’re here to dispel these myths.

I wouldn’t outsource to an e-settlement agency as they have no established track record.

LodgeX was established prior to the mandated changes in Victoria over 2 years ago. With many thousands of transactions (settlements and lodgements) since its launch we think that’s a pretty impressive track record.  LodgeX has also participated in industry consultations, stakeholder feedback and consultations to ensure that it represents its members and is at the forefront of industry changes. We aim to be the ‘Gold Standard.’ We’re regulated, insured and trusted so when you outsource to us you can rest assured, we manage everything for your benefit.

I wouldn’t outsource to an e-settlement agency as I would have loss of control.

Our members and clients provide us with their instructions for the conduct of the matter. Our onboarding program LAPP enables real time communication between members and LodgeX ensuring that members are kept up to date and consulted at all times.

I wouldn’t outsource to an e-settlement agency as it creates double handling and delays.

LodgeX steps and performs those tasks that our members do not. We create the workspace, invite participants and undertake all the steps through to settlement/lodgement. We do not cross over into work completed by our members. Our process is streamlined to ensure that matters progress to settlement smoothly and efficiently.

I wouldn’t outsource to an e-settlement agency as there is risk of miscommunication on complex matters.

Communication via LAPP ensures that all conversations between LodgeX and its members are recorded. This means that there is always an audit trail to cross reference instructions so that there is no miscommunication.

Congratulations at being adept at PEXA. Membership with LodgeX is free and does not require referral of all of your matters. Did you know that LodgeX also provides additional support services for members on a casual basis for peak periods or when staff are on leave? We are a flexible workforce solution for that big subdivision or for when your key people are unavailable. We also offer Trust Accounting Services to those who wish to conduct their own matters but may not have the support of their own trust accounting accounts and procedures.
